Trey Miller, DDS
Dr. Trey Miller, raised in a hardworking middle-class family, learned valuable skills from his father, a general contractor. Excelling in Division 1 Baseball at Gardner-Webb University, he pursued a Biology major with minors in Chemistry and Psychology, gravitating towards medicine. After graduation, Trey explored professional cycling and managed a successful recycling program for Mecklenburg County. Yet, his passion for healthcare persisted, leading him to dentistry inspired by a mentor. Graduating from West Virginia University School of Dentistry with honors and further specializing in implantology, Dr. Trey practiced in private settings, honing his skills. Now, together with his wife Hannah and their two children, Max and Sophie, he’s excited to serve the Harrisburg, NC community, offering top-notch dental care and flexible hours to accommodate patients of all ages.
Dr. Courtney Small
Raised in a large family in South Charlotte, Dr. Courtney Small developed values of teamwork, hard work, and dedication from an early age through sports. She majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she also played competitive club soccer. Her interest in medicine led her to a career in dentistry, attracted by its combination of artistry and healthcare. Shadowing dentists, she saw how dental health could enhance a person’s happiness and overall well-being.
Graduating magna cum laude from the University of Louisville’s dental school and joining the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, Dr. Small furthered her skills in surgery and implant dentistry during a residency at Prisma Healthcare in South Carolina, where she was named “Resident of the Year.”
After a year of practice in North Carolina, Dr. Small moved to Florida with her husband Shane, also from Charlotte. In Florida, she expanded her expertise in cosmetic dentistry and Invisalign. Three years later, their son Teddy was born. The family, who enjoys outdoor activities and the beaches of South Florida, decided to return to Charlotte to be closer to family. Excited to rejoin their community, the Smalls look forward to continuing their careers and embracing life in North Carolina.

He majored in Biology and minored in Business Administration which allowed him to immerse himself in the world of dental medicine. He not only excelled in his academic pursuits but also actively contributed to his community by volunteering at Mission of Mercy clinics and involving himself in dental clubs. These experiences not only fueled his passion but also provided him with valuable practical insights into the field of dentistry.
With his determination and dedication to dentistry firmly established, Dr. Griffin decided to pursue education at the esteemed Virginia Commonwealth School of Dentistry. His time at VCU was marked by academic prowess, community awareness, and active involvement in organizations, including the Psi Omega Dental Honor Society.
